Generously hosted by RMIT, and generously fed in a potluck-fashion, the topic of the night started from the illusion of explanatory depth, but pivoted to many things, including whether some style of music is ‘better’ than another.

We were going to have a summer sunset evening at a beach, but in typical Melbourne fashion, we were greeted with windy, drizzly, +18C evening, so we pivoted to a nearby restaurant.

Our second meeting took place on October 31st. In addition to some structured and some freeflowing conversation among amazing people, we had Simon McCarthy-Jones (the author of ‘Freethinking’) join us via Zoom for an hour of fascinating discussion as well.

We had our inaugural meeting in Melbourne on August 29th. Thank you to everyone who attended, it was a great evening of starting to shape how this experiment will shape out!
